Po Mia is an eclectic local musician who aims to spread positivity and comfort with their music. Though they have been a musician for around a decade, they have only just begun playing live within the past few years and have already achieved local fame. Po’s music is unique and complex, with vulnerable lyrics sung by a clear and melodic voice. With a background in music therapy, Po structures their music so that their audience will find a home in it, and be able to release negative emotions while listening to their songs. Audience connection and participation are instrumental in Po’s live performances. Po’s shows are also filled with surprises, and will occasionally include their party trick of rapping while solving a Rubix cube.
