Happy Hooves Equine Rescue works to save animals who can no longer be cared for by their owners. They also serve as a sanctuary for older horses. Because they now have more older horses than younger horses, their annual summer camp (for 13-to-18 year old teens) could be in jeopardy. It takes younger horses to work with the children who come there to take the summer camp, or individual classes. The younger horses have more stamina and a better temperament than some of the older ones.
