I can think of no better introduction to opera than the “L’elisir d’amore” (“The Elixir of Love”) at Union Avenue Opera. The opera and the production are delightful. Patrons who enjoyed Union Avenue’s “Fiddler on the Roof” ought to give “L’elisir d’amore” a try even if they do not consider themselves opera fans.

“Monty Python’s Spamalot” is as much fun as ever in the North American tour now playing at the Fox Theatre. This production is based on the 2023 Broadway revival directed and choreographed by Muny favorite, Josh Rhodes.

At the start of Sarah Ruhl’s Dead Man’s Cell Phone, Jean and a very still Norman are the only customers in a coffee shop. At first, Jean is annoyed by Norman’s failure to answer his repeatedly ringing phone. When she finally answers the phone herself, she discovers that Norman is dead.
