We hear the word STEM thrown around a lot. What does it mean, and what does it really mean to students?
Normandy and Parkway School Districts teamed up with McCarthy Building Companies to create a truly interactive STEM Saturday, where kids could build, see, and play with the spectrum of tools that are used in a STEM career.
The students went to one of five different learning stations where they could build birdhouses, track underground cabling, learn about STEM tools and tool safety, build a memory board, and visualize construction in VR.
STEM Saturdays are teaching kids what STEM is, and STEM is fun!
