How Local Schools are Adjusting to Remote Learning

    The week of March 16, 2020, Missouri public and private schools closed to help contain the spread of the Coronavirus. Schools quickly moved to remote or ‘distance’ learning – students working from home via computer or on paper. This meant a huge shift in thinking for students, parents and teachers. There were concerns about nutrition, access and quality of education. Some schools had some experience with educational disruptions while others were giving it a go for the first time. HEC-TV’s Nancy Pasternak explored how teachers and schools leaders at two area schools jumped into action. Hear from them…in their own words.
