Men’s Fashion Takes Center Stage at SLAM

“Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear, 1715-2015” at the St. Louis Art Museum takes visitors through trends in the male appearance over the last three hundred years, comparing and contrasting the modern and classic. The exhibition originates largely from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and examines menswear according to themes, rather than chronologically. The curators have paid special attention not just to the clothing itself, but also to changes in the ideal male form over time. “Reigning Men” is located in the East Building and runs through September 17th.
