Behind the Creatives: Violinmaker

Behind the doors of a non-descript older building not far from Carondelet Park in the heart of St. Louis, lies something –and someone—quite unexpected: a professional violin maker.
Geoffrey Seitz didn’t start playing the violin until after high school, but he liked working with his hands and thought, maybe he’d try to make a violin from scratch using the same techniques the as the great masters did back in the 17th century. That was 45 years ago, and he’s been doing it ever since.
