The Shape of Abstraction at the Saint Louis Art Museum

    The Saint Louis Art Museum celebrates the gift of 81 works of art by Ronald Maurice Ollie and Monique McRipley Ollie with a selection from the collection highlighting the extraordinary contributions to the field of abstract art by African Americans and those of Caribbean descent. Robert Ollie grew up in Saint Louis and this donation honors his parents Thelma and Bert Ollie. In addition to abstract art, the gift also includes photography and an extensive collection of research material and literature related African American art.
