Be Human STL is a community effort of local bars and restaurants to raise funds, awareness, and response for the human rights abuses of immigrants and refugees on the US-Mexico border and around the country. Tatyana Telnikova, a local immigrant and restaurant owner, started this effort as a way to get people talking about immigration issues. Along with her restaurant the HandleBar, she and other local immigrants and restaurant owners are working together to further their goal of educating locals of the rising problems at our borders.
