In August 2020, SSM Health opened its first Behavioral Health Urgent Care. The center provides services for mental health and substance abuse patients with a wide variety of needs, prescribing medication when necessary and connecting them to existing services in the community. Through partnerships with local organizations like the Behavioral Health Network, BJC Behavioral Health, the Independence Center, and more, the urgent care is able to create personalized wellness plans for every patient to ensure they receive the support they need.
